Through improvisational mark making and vibrant inks, the Feminine Gestures series explores gendered mark making.
The idea of an inherent "feminine" or "masculine" aesthetic has long been argued about in the artworld. Are these gestural "landscapes" inherently feminine because I am a woman? Are they feminine because of their colors? Their whimsy? Are they feminine at all?
