About
Dr. Rachel Trusty is a gender studies scholar, artist, and educator.
Her research focuses on feminist and lgbt+ activism and visual culture in American History.
Trusty is currently a Teaching Assistant Professor of Gender, Women's, and Sexuality Studies at Appalachian State University in
Boone, NC.
She holds a Ph.D. in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS, and an MFA in Studio Art from Lesley College in Boston, MA.
Trusty's research has been published in various journals, including
Curator: The Museum Journal, ARTMargins Online, and Burnaway.
